Private Forums on the way!

We all know it's dangerous to post too much in a private forum such as this. We've been planning a private, members only area for quite some time now so just wanted to give the heads up that it's on the way soon. Our goal is June 1st. Sign up HERE if you'd like a reminder sent to you a couple days ahead of time. The members area will be limited to a fairly small group so you may want to secure a spot.

FYI, you've never seen anything like it!

It would be nice to have a master list of working ping sites for ADS users.

It will be important that the below list be thoroughly tested so we can remove non-working ping sites from our list and always have one updated master list. Anyone who has additional, pre-tested pinger sites, please post them in this thread.

Here's my contribution. Keep in mind, we all need to test the list and report back any successes/failures so we can separate the bad sites from the good.

NOTE: All lists posted throughout this thread should be tested and if new additions are found, they should be added to this ongoing top list. To date, the below list has not been thoroughly tested with ADS so you are welcome to post your findings...

To All ADS owners

I recommend logging into the KeywordCandy product download area and grabbing the newest version of ADS (1.4.4), just released as of this morning. It addresses a couple important fixes, especially a recently discovered ping scheduling bug fix.

1.4.4 Change log

- Fixed problem with ping scheduling. Certain settings would fail on “Settings > Limits” sub-tab.
- Additional upgrades to error logging system.
- Removed Debug Tab (redundant).

New topic: “Newbies FAQ”

I'll be building a FAQ page here that will give an overview to newbies explaining the "Do's and Don'ts" and other important stuff to consider before getting involved with cloaking and other BlackHat marketing.

-------------------

   Q: Isn't this dangerous?
   A: YES, it is! But, it doesn't have to be. As long as you are careful and follow the basic guidelines, you shouldn't have any problems with that, but from time to time, blackhat and cloaked sites can and will get banned. The risk falls on you and you need to decide for yourself if you wish to take that risk.

-------------------

   Q: How do I stop from getting my cloaked and Blackhat sites banned?
   A: There are too many things to consider to list them all here on this one page, but I'll point out some of the highlights:

        i. DO NOT host both your 'real' sites and your cloaked sites on the same server.
       ii. Consider using different IP addresses and preferably different C-blocks on your sites.
      iii. DO NOT create 10,000 pages in one day. Limit it to a more reasonable number. A site that grows from zero pages to 10,000 in a day sticks out like a sore thumb and might get you caught (or it might not). If you're not worried about getting caught, go crazy with your bad self. But, if you're like most people and don't like the idea of losing your hard work, be cautious and don't go overboard straight out of the gate. Take it slow and build your sites up over time.

-------------------

   Q: What's the best cloaking software?
   A: There really is no best. I've used Search Engine Cloaker (SEC) for years and have tried many others. You might also consider Cloak-it or Fantomaster but I tend to recommend SEC.

-------------------

   Q: How long does it take to get traffic?
   A: Anywhere from 1 day to never! There is no way to tell. It depends on you, how much you know, how hard you try and the luck of the Irish. The more you know, the faster you can usually get results. If you're new, plan on spending at least 3-6 months cloaking before making any decisions on how well it works. It can take that long sometimes to see results.

-------------------

   Q: What would it cost to get setup in cloaking?
   A: Here are some recommended tools and their associated costs:

RECOMMENDED TOOLS

   SEC = $159
   Unlimited License = $120
   Template Add-on = $59
   Static Pages Add-on = $59
   SLURL 2.0 = $59
   ADS = $249
   Hosting = $5/mo > $100+/mo
   Domains = $0.99/yr > $10/yr

OTHER EXPENSES:

   Some people buy inbound links ranging from $5/mo to $100/mo

* You'll probably buy other tools over time...

-------------------

   Q: Are there more FAQ's on the way?
   A: YEP!
